Resembles but different from chess sets/theme on display at the Corning museum of Glass (NY), another at the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia and other galleries and private collections.
Catholic side: Pope as the King, mother Teresa Queen. Jews side: The Rabbi as King, Cantor as Queen. On both sides, the other major pieces and the pawns are represented by other religious figures. All pieces are dressed in ceremonial clothing and carrying religious / chess symbols and posed in typical postures.
